Three Star make winning start in AFC Cup 2017 Playoff Qualifiers

KATHMANDU: Nepal national football league winners Three Star Club (TSC) defeated the Erchim Football Club of Mongolia 2-0 in their first match of the AFC Cup 2017 Playoff Qualifiers. In the match held today in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia, the TSC's Nigerian striker Martins Kayode scored the first goal in the 13th minute while Bikram Lama made it 2-0 to seal the win for his team in the 75th minute of the match. The TSC will now play the Nagaworld Football Club of Cambodia on Tuesday. The play-off phase has been divided into three groups and the winners will qualify for the next round. The TSC are in the Group B.
