Kathmandu, August 23 Nepal’s Three Star Club played a 1-1 draw against Cambodia’s Nagaworld FC in their last match of the AFC Cup 2017 Qualifying Play-off at the MFF Football Centre, Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia today. The draw in Group B helped Three Star to strengthen their chances for the next phase of the qualification with four points from two matches. Earlier, Three Star had defeated hosts Erchim FC by 2-0 in the opening match on Sunday. However, Three Star’s fate will depend upon the result of the match between hosts Erchim FC and Nagaworld slated for Thursday. If Nagaworld beat Erchim with more than two-goal differences, former will finish top of the group and qualify for the next round. Otherwise, Three Star will see them in the next phase of the qualification. Nagaworld took the lead in the 28th minute with Nhim Sovannara scoring off Khim Borey’s corner kick. But, Three Star stole a point from the match after Ajayi Martins Kayode scored in the 87th minute.
