Three Star qualify for AFC Cup 2017 Play-off round

KATHMANDU: Nepal’s Three Star Club qualified for the AFC Cup 2017 Play-off round as they topped the Group B chart in the Qualifying Play-off that concluded in Mongolia today. The Nepal club finished as the group winners with four points after hosts Erchim FC defeated Cambodia’s Nagaworld FC 1-0 today. With the result, Erchim finished as group runner-up with three points, while Cambodia are on the bottom of group with just a point. Three Star had defeated Erchim 2-0 in their opener and played a 1-1 draw against Nagaworld in the last match. In today’s match, Davaajav Battur scored the only goal of the match in the injury times of second half to help Erchim beat the visitors Nagaworld.
