CHITWAN: With the increased number of accidents, Chitwan police have increased security check-ups of the vehicles at Jugedi along the Narayangadh-Muglin road section of the district. Similarly, vehicles plying to Pokhara from Kathmandu would be checked at Muglin whereas vehicles travelling toward the east would be checked at Gondrang of Bharatpur. Those travelling from the east would be checked at Bhandara. The inspection team would look if the vehicles travelling for more than 250 km have two drivers or not. If not, the vehicles would be allowed to travel further only after the second driver is managed. Also, if any vehicle is found travelling with passengers over the capacity or lacking route permit or any driver driving under the influence or crossing the limit, they would be booked. Around 6,000-7,000 vehicles ply on the road on a daily basis. Just on Friday, as many as 22 persons were killed in a road accident along the road. READ ALSO:
