NMB opens branches

KATHMANDU: NMB Bank has commenced operation of three new branches simultaneously in Palpa, Bhairahawa and Damak. The branches in Palpa and Bhairahawa were inaugurated by Chiranjibi Nepal, governor of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), whilst the Damak branch was inaugurated by the bank’s Director Nanda Kishore Rathi and NRB’s Regional Director Ramu Paudyal. Present at the inaugural programme were customers, entrepreneurs, business people and stakeholders including the bank’s chairman Kamalesh Kumar Agrawal and CEO Upendra Poudyal. Speaking on the occasion, Governor Nepal said that the addition of the branches will not only increase the bank’s network but also serve in strengthening access to finance to the locals in western Nepal. With the inclusion of the three new branches, the bank’s network strength now comprises of 71 branches, 50 ATMs and seven extension counters.
