KATHMANDU: Private school operators have demanded action against those who planted bombs in schools in the Kathmandu Valley so as to prevent disruption in academic activities. The chairpersons of all three organisations of private schools -- HISSAN, PABSON and NPABSON --  warned of agitation if the authorities failed to book the perpetrators. Speaking to media at the Reporters Club in Kathmandu, Karna Bahadur Shahi, the chairperson of National Private and Boarding Schools' Organisation in Nepal (NPABSON), held the Ministry of Education responsible for today's coordinated bombings in two schools and planting of explosives in five others. He charged that the Ministry of Education has kept mum over the incidents, saying it was saddening. Ramesh Silwal,  chairperson of the Higher Secondary School Association in Nepal (HISSAN), reminded all that schools are a zone of peace, and asked the stakeholders to put a stop to inhumane acts, extortion and politics in the education sector. Lachha Bahadur KC, chairperson of the Private and Boarding Schools' Organisation in Nepal (PABSON), said violent activities like bombings would affect the mental state of students.
