Festivals help bring parties together, says Speaker Onsari Gharti Magar

Kathmandu, October 6 Speaker Onsari Gharti Magar today expressed hope that the festive season would bring the political parties together to address national agendas. Extending best wishes to all Nepali people on the occasion of the festivals Dashain, Dipawali, Chhath and Nepal Sambat  the speaker said, “The tea parties and other festive occasions have brought the parties together in the past and I hope these festivals will help bring the party leaders together and create an atmosphere of consensus and cooperation among them.” Talking to reporters at her office in Singha Durbar, she said that she would intensify efforts on the issues of constitution implementation after Dashain festival. She informed that she will be leaving for Thailand tomorrow for her regular medical check-up and will return immediately after Dashain. Her husband Barshaman Pun, who is also CPN-Maoist Centre’s leader, will accompany her, she said. Pun is also scheduled to go for a follow-up health check, according to her.
