MORANG: The Biratnagar Customs Office, which used to remain closed for a week during the Dashain festival earlier, will observe normal working hours throughout festival except for two days on October 10 and 11. The decision to operate this Customs Office with India during remaining days has been taken to facilitate the import and export operation during the festival, according to Biratnagar Customs Office Chief Krishna Basnet. The Customs Office that has been collecting revenue up to Rs 60 million in a day on average will be rendering its services to ease off the import of the cargoes to its respective destinations to avoid them being stuck at the bordering point, added Basnet.
