Devotees throng Talbarahi Temple

POKHARA: Locals have started thronging the Talbarahi Temple with the onset of Talbarahi fair in Pokhara of Kaski district since early today. The two-story pagoda temple is located in a small island on the south east section of the Phewa Lake. It is one of the most famous pilgrimage sites in the country and offers the tourists a panoramic scene. The visitors can reach the Temple by boats and enjoy the crystal clear water of the Lake. Barahi (Goddess Durga) is worshiped by Hindus as well as Buddhists. People from different parts of the neighbouring districts also throng the temple today. The fair coincides with Kojagrat Purnima (full moon), the last of the Dashain festival.
