'Pranab Mukherjee's visit makes Nepal-India ties more colourful'

KATHMANDU: Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Ranjit Rae, on Sunday commented that Indian President Pranab Mukherjee's upcoming Nepal visit would add more colours to Nepal-India relations. Receiving a Deusi-Bhailo team of journalists today, Rae said the historic ties between the two nations would strengthen further with the high-level visit. 'Of late, high-level bilateral visits are being held frequently,' he remarked, 'This is very positive.' Mukherjee is arriving in Kathmandu on Wednesday for a three-day state visit. It would be the first of Indian President's visit in past 18 years. Rae today said both Nepal and India have accorded a high value to the visit. Meanwhile, the Indian diplomat informed that all preparations were over to receive the state guest after two days. Mukherjee is also scheduled to visit Janakpur and Pokhara outside the Kathmandu Valley.
