BHIMDUTTANAGAR: Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Ramesh Lekhak has stressed the need of local poll for the implementation of Constitution. Addressing a programme organised by Nepal Press Union in Bhimduttangar in Kanchanpur district on Thursday, Minister Lekhak said that the incumbent government had put the Constitution amendment and the local election on its priority. The Nepali Congress leader Lekhak said that the government was ready to address demands of Madhes-based parties, who were not satisfied with some of the provisions in the Constitution, through democratic means. Informing that a detailed report on the construction of a 800-metre four-lane concrete bridge over the Mahakali River had been sent to the Government of India for a final approval, Lekhak further said that a tender regarding the construction would be invited within four months.
