Makalu Air plane meets with accident at Simikot Airport

KATHMANDU: A cargo aircraft owned by Makalu Air met with an accident at Simikot Airport in Humla of mid-western Nepal on Friday morning. There were two crew members on board the ill-fated aircraft when the incident took place this morning. Both of them are safe. The aircraft with call sign 9N-AJG was ferrying goods from Surkhet to Simikot, according to a staffer at the Engineering Department of the Makalu Air. The incident occurred after the aircraft experienced some technical problems while landing.
