NOC, QOC sign MoU for mutual cooperation

Kathmandu, November 16 Olympic Committees of Nepal and Qatar today signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote and develop sports in both the countries. Nepal Olympic Committee President Jeevan Ram Shrestha and Qatar Olympic Committee President Sheikh Joan Bin Hamad Al-Thani signed the MoU for a term of four years. As per the agreements, NOC and QOC will enhance their cooperation and encourage meaningful sport exchange and coordinate with their member national federations, including participation in competitions and training activities. The exchange programmes will also include their participation in courses, seminars, conferences, forums meetings and other workshops related to sports. QOC will provide training opportunities for Nepali athletes and coaches, support coaches and sports managers to pursue academic skills in Qatar and also provide technical assistance and sports equipment. Similarly, NOC will assist Qatari athletes for high altitude trainings in Nepal and entertain them in sports competitions.
