Paudel for maximum consensus on Constitution amendment

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress senior leader Ram Chandra Paudel has said that initiatives should be taken to forge a maximum consensus on the purported Constitution amendment bill. Talking to mediapersons at the Tribhuvan International Airport before leaving for Japan on a week-long visit, leader Paudel said the process of Constitution amendment should be forwarded by building consensus among major political parties and bringing Madhes-based political parties into confidence. It was necessary to give an outlet to the country from political transition by holding elections of all three-level within the third week of January 2018, he underlined. Paudel, who has embarked on the Japan visit at the invitation of Japanese government, is accompanied by different people including lawmaker Rajan KC.
