KATHMANDU: The secondary market continued to witness massive volatility for the second consecutive day on Monday. Opening at 1,469.48 points at 11:00am, the market regulator had clamped the first circuit breaker for 15 minutes at 11:39am as benchmark index slumped by three per cent. The second circuit breaker was applied at 12:12pm for half an hour as the Nepse index plunged by four per cent. However, the local bourse reversed course in second half of the day, with Nepse index clocking a gain of 40.68 points or 2.77 per cent to settle at 1,510.16 points for the day. All the subgroups, apart from manufacturing, landed in the green territory by the closing time. Share market witnessed 6,713 transactions of 1.39 million shares of 124 firms that amounted to Rs 1.10 billion.
