RAJBIRAJ: Police said that two persons were killed in separate road accidents in Saptari on Tuesday. An elderly woman died after being hit by a bus at Shambunath Municipality – 3, Saptari along the East-West Highway. The identity of the deceased, who appeared to be in his 70s, is yet to be established. The bus (Na 6 Kha 5312) heading towards east from west hit the woman yesterday, police said. Her body has been taken to the Gajendra Narayan Singh Sagarmatha Zonal Hospital in Rajbiraj for postmortem, the District Police Office, Saptari, said. Similarly, a man died after a motorbike he was riding on hit a tractor at Banrajhula area of Saptari district yesterday. The deceased has been identified as Jagadev Sahani (26) of Kalyanpur – 3. According to police, the bike (Sa 5 Pa 5619) went out of control and crashed into the rear section of the tractor (Sa 1 Ta 3836). Sahani breathed his last during the course of treatment at the Lahan-based Saptarishi Hospital.
