Kathmandu KTM International Trading, authorised importer of Benelli Motorcycles will be launching three new models — Tornado 302R, TRK502 and TNT135 in Nepal in the first quarter of 2017. The Tornado 302R is inspired by Benelli’s legendary racing heritage while TRK 502 blends modern shapes with classic adventure-bike styling rugged looks. On the other hand, TNT135 mainly caters to the younger crowd and new riders who are looking for an easy-to-ride and affordable bike. “The exact dates for the launch of these bikes are yet to be finalised, but it will be around the first quarter of 2017,” revealed Shaswat Rijal, Sales and Marketing Manager at Benelli Nepal. “Its competitive price and smaller displacement are not a limit but a big opportunity for Tornado 302R,” he said. “With dynamic design and Benelli DNA, the bike looks and performs like a high-end sportsbike,” he shared, adding that this bike is bound to captivate and give the thrill of a high-end sports bike. “The small bike (TNT135) has big-bike features and advanced technology that proves the old saying – ‘size isn’t everything’ perfectly,” said Rijal. He further added that the race-inspired suspension, wheels and brakes to its lattice-steel frame and sporty ergonomics, the super-fun TNT135 would surprise and satisfy mile after mile. According to him, the price range of these new models will start from Rs 250,000 onwards. “We expect to command around 10 per cent of the premium two-wheeler market share with the launch of these bikes,” he shared. The 302R offers an amazingly agile chassis, generous cornering clearance, powerful brakes, plenty of power and crisp sure handling. It delivers maximum power of 35.5 bhp at 10,000 rpm and a peak torque of 27.4 Nm at 9,000. The riding position of TRK 502 is amazingly comfortable, with a wide handlebar, a plush saddle and plenty of legroom for comfort on long trips. It flaunts a high quality suspension that includes a 50 mm inverted fork up front (with 145 mm of stroke) and a swingarm-monoshock system in back. It offers a superb wheel control and comfortable ride, on and off road. Its steel-tube trellis frame surrounds the engine, and offers a superb balance of rigidity and lightweight. Powered by an all-new parallel-twin, liquid-cooled, 500 cc engine bike delivers 47bhp of maximum power at 8,500 rpm and 45Nm of optimum torque at 4,500rpm. Powered by a 135 cc, oil-cooled engine, TNT135 features advanced suspension, a strong steel frame, and alloy wheels with disc brakes, grippe all-weather tyres and racy naked-bike styling that will have you grinning all day long. It delivers maximum torque of 10.8 Nm at 7000 rpm and maximum power of 13 hp at 9000 rpm.
