KATHMANDU: Nepal league leaders Three Star Club on Tuesday demanded Rs 60 million compensation from the All Nepal Football Association, claiming the national football governing body robbed them of the appearance in the AFC Cup 2017. Organising a press conference in Kathmandu today, the Club also informed that they decided to write to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the National Sports Council, the Nepal Olympic Committee, the AFC as well as FIFA about the issue. Issuing a press statement during the meeting, TSC Acting Chairman Arun Man Joshi and General Secretary Sanjeev Shilpakar also demanded that the concerned government authorities investigate into the case. The Club have also decided not to take part in any of the football activities till the issue was solved. Earlier, it was reported that the national league champions have been robbed of the AFC Cup second round berth after the national football governing body missed the registration deadline. Three Star had qualified for the second round of the inaugural tournament after finishing as the group winners in Mongolia in August. But the Asian Football Confederation has included Mongolian Erchim FC, who were runners-up to Three Star in the qualifiers, for the draw after the ANFA did not respond to its four requests sent through email.
