Govt moving ahead for polls: Minister Pandey

Pokhara, December 13 Minister for Federal Affairs and Local Development Hit Raj Pandey today claimed that the incumbent government was moving ahead with a firm mission of holding the three tiers of polls after drafting a law related to elections, besides statute implementation. Speaking to mediapersons at a press meet organised by the Press Centre Kaski on Tuesday in Pokhara, Pandey said that the government was intensifying preparations to hold local elections by drafting a law related to the elections. Pandey said that the constitution amendment bill tabled at the Parliament would not be revoked, but it would be passed through consensus among all the parties. “The government will move ahead with a clear and concrete plan soon after the state restructuring commission submits its report for the polls, as all necessary preparations have almost been completed,” he said. He also said that the government was serious about executing development activities and projects as per the people’s expectations. “More than 400 technicians have been mobilised in all the constituencies to for the parliamentary development fund and constituency development programmes,” claimed Pandey.
