KATHMANDU: The meeting of Legislature-Parliament has been postponed till 1 pm on Monday, December 19. The meeting, which was scheduled for today at 11 am, was rescheduled citing special reasons, according to a notice issued by the Legislature-Parliament Secretary General Manohar Prasad Bhattarai. The recent five House meetings have been obstructed by opposition parties including the CPN-UML as the parties protested the Constitution amendment bill tabled at the Parliament for discussion. It has been learned that Speaker Onsari Gharti postponed the meeting with a hope that major political parties - currently at odds over the amendment bill - would forge a consensus to resume the parliamentary business by then.
