Man arrested with fake notes from Lamjung

LAMJUNG: Police have arrested a person in possession of more than Rs 4,000 face value, from Besisahar of Lamjung district, on Saturday. The arrestee has been identified as Raj Kumar Shrestha (30) of Gaurika, Besisahar Municipality-4. Police also confiscated a computer, fake licences, printer used to make fake notes from his house, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police Sameer Chandra Kharel. Local youth at the ticket counter of the Lamjung Festival had noticed fake notes on Thursday, informed Ticket Management Sub-Committee Coordinator Krishna Lal Pradhan. They were on high alert regarding the same thereafter. It has been learned that some nine months ago, Shrestha had bought a bicycle at Rs 9,000 from a shop. Later, he had to return it as the shopkeeper realised the notes he gave were fake.
