Chitwan, December 21 Road widening and upgrading work along the Narayangadh-Muglin road section will resumed by blocking vehicular movement for four hours every day beginning from tomorrow. The project has urged vehicle operators along the route to use the alternative route as they are more than likely to face a serpentine queue due to oad obstruction from 11:00am to 3:00pm. According to engineer Shiva Khanal of the project, they are widening 2 km of the road from Muglin to Kalikhola. The project has made public three different short routes for vehicles bound to and from the capital to the eastern region. Instead of using the Narayangadh-Muglin road, if Banepa-Bardibas road along the BP Highway is used the route will be 177 km shorter. Similarly, Naubise-Hetauda road section along the Tribhuvan Highway is 108 kilometres less and Balkhu-Bhimphedi-Hetauda road section is 146 kilometres less. However, there is no alternative route for trucks longer than 12 metres carrying heavy load. Similarly, if Muglin-Pokhara route is used, it will 71 kilometres longer than the Muglin-Narayangadh road section while traveling to the western region. Instead of staying for many hours in queue, the administration has urged the public to use the same route.
