Technical team to study quake-damaged houses

Bhojpur, December 22 A technical team to collect details of houses damaged by the 2015 earthquakes in Bhojpur will be deployed from December 30. A meeting of the District Coordination Committee held in the District Development Committee in the presence of Deputy Director Narayan Prasad Shrestha of the Earthquake Settlement Reconstruction Project; and Janardan Guragain of the Reconstruction Authority decided to this effect. Shrestha said the earlier statistics provided by Home ministry stated that 2,355 houses were damaged by the earthquakes in Bhojpur, while later statistics showed that 10,426 houses were damaged. Shrestha said the houses will be constructed in 17 different models throughout the country. He added that the damaged houses would be categorised in five levels.
