Elderly killed in elephant attack in Saptari

RAJBIRAJ: An elderly was killed when two elephants attacked him at Bhardaha VDC in Saptari district, on Saturday. According to police, the deceased has been identified as local Raghu Nath Khanga (65). Khanga was attacked by the elephants while he was sleeping at his home and stomped by them in a garden nearby his house, at around midnight. The wild animals destroyed Khanga's house and food crops as well. Police said the elephants came from the Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve. Khanga's body is being brought to the Sagarmatha Zonal Hospital in Rajbiraj, informed the District Police Office.
