Idols stolen from Thamel handicraft shop

KATHMANDU: Police said property worth Rs 600,000 was stolen from the Souvenir Handicraft Shop in Thamel, KMC-29 on Saturday. An unidentified gang entered into the shop and its godown by breaking padlocks and decamped with electric cables and idols last night, informed police. The shop was run by 30-year-old Sumitra Dangol of Banepa-4 in Kavre district. Police said they are searching for the absconding thieves and looking into the case.
