4 injured in Rukum jeep accident

RUKUM: Four persons were injured when a jeep they were aboard met with an accident at Gilbang of Syalapakha in the district, on Sunday. The injured are Tilbir KC (33) of Banfikot-7, Devraj Shahi (23) of Banfikot-5, Abishekh Shahi (25) of Syalpakha-3 and Diamond Shahi (20) of Musikot-5, informed Police Inspector Thaman Bahadur Rajali of the Rukum District Police Office. All of the injured have been sent to Nepalgunj for further treatment, informed the District Health Office. Among them, Abishekh and Tilbir are said to be critical. According to police, the ill-fated jeep (Lu 1 A 1056) was on its way to Solabang from Thaunne Bazaar when it fell some 500 metres off the road towards the Sano Bheri River . Police said the passengers were saved because they jumped out of the vehicle before it plunged into the River. Further investigation is underway, police added.
