Trishuli tanker fall: Missing driver found dead

CHITWAN: A driver, who had gone missing on Tuesday after a fuel tanker plunged into the Trishuli River, was found dead on Wednesday. The deceased driver has been identified as Umesh Tamang (25) of Amlekhgunj in Bara. According to the Chitwan District Police Office, the tanker (Na 4 Kha 4143) was found today one km west from where the incident had occurred. Police said Tamang was already dead before they found him trapped in the steering wheel. The ill-fated tanker was en route to Bara from Kathmandu when it fell into the River at around 11:40 pm last night. Assistant driver Pradeep Lama (25), also of Amalekhgunj, had swum to safety after the tanker submerged. He has suffered a fracture in his leg from the accident. READ ALSO:
