BHAKTAPUR:  Both the teams of KCTC recorded wins in the Khukuri Challenger T20 Cup here at the Sainik Awasiya Mahavidhyalaya grounds on Wednesday. KCTC ‘A’ beat SMC Baneshwor by 10 wickets, while KCTC ‘B’ saw off Pandas by six wickets. In Group A match, SMC were bowled out for 51 in 15.4 overs Tail-ender Sushil Acharya was the only batsman to reach double figures with 14 off 17 hitting two boundaries. In reply, KCTC ‘A’ reached the target in 4.4 overs. Opener Sudhir Chaudhary (22 off 20) and Sumit Maharjan (eight-ball 21) remained not out. In Group B match, Pandas scored 79 runs in 18.5 overs riding on Sudeep Nepal’s 25 off 35 balls which included two boundaries. Subash Khatri of KCTC ‘B’ picked up four wickets. In reply, KCTC ‘B’ raced to the target in 11.2 overs with six wickets in hand. Aschal Chaudhary hit 23-ball 27 with the help of three fours.
