ICAN to support OCR
KATHMANDU:
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal (ICAN) has expressed its willingness to help the Office of Company Registrar (OCR) in making format of financial details as per the new Company Ordinance-2005. The new format is aimed at making financial details uniform and as per the international standards. Narayan Bajaj, president of ICAN said that the institute will help in making practical and standard format for financial details. — HNS
RBS, Nepse get chiefs
KATHMANDU:
Bhojraj Sharma has been appointed executive chairman of Rastriya Beema Sansthan (RBS) for a tenure of two years as per the decision of Council of Ministers. Earlier, Sharma has served with the corporation as the director general for 27 years and with Nepal Insurance Company as president and CEO for nine years. The government has appointed Dr Girish Panta as chairman of Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) Ltd for two years. — HNS
