Indian Embassy marks Republic Day

KATHMANDU: Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun attended a reception hosted by Ambassador of India to Nepal, Ranjit Rae, on the occasion of the 68th Republic Day of India, here today. Also present on the occasion were members of the Council of Ministers, former Vice-President Paramananda Jha, former Prime Ministers, lawmakers, leaders and cadres of various political parties, high-ranking officials in the civil service and army, heads of diplomatic missions, industrialists, businesspersons, artists, senior mediapersons and Indian nationals living in Nepal. A variety cultural programme depicting Indian culture was also presented on the occasion. Also to mark the occasion, Indian Ambassador Rae hoisted the Indian national flag at a ceremony held at the Embassy premises earlier in the morning today.
