KATHMANDU: The eighth national general convention of the Netra Bikram Chand-led CPN Maoist began in Kathmandu on Sunday. Party's General Secretary Chand inaugurated the convention amidst a mass meeting of party cadres in Khulamanch of Kathmandu. It has been learned that the closed-door session of the convention would be held in Thabang of Rolpa on Monday. Meanwhile, the party organised rallies from various places of the Kathmandu Valley before the inauguration ceremony. The rallies had disturbed the traffic movement in the Capital for a couple of hours.
