  KATHMANDU: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sarbendra Khanal has been appointed the Nepal Police's new spokesperson. The police headquarters made the appointment yesterday. Earlier, Khanal headed the Metropolitan Crime Division before his transfer to the Inspector General's Secretariat at the headquarters two weeks ago. His predecessor, SSP Thakur Gyawali, was transferred to the Mid-Western Regional Police Office in Nepalganj.
