APF see off TAC to remain unbeaten

Nepalgunj, February 27 Nepal APF Club defeated Tribhuvan Army Club in straight sets to finish as Group B winners in the fourth PM Cup Women’s Volleyball Tournament here at the Nepalgunj Stadium covered hall today. Both teams had already secured semi-final berths before playing the match and APF remained unbeaten in both matches of the group. APF dominated departmental rivals TAC from the beginning and never looked back. APF claimed the first set 25-5 before winning the next two sets 25-8 and 25-9. TAC, who had defeated Barshat Association of India in their opener, finished as runners-up. Similarly, Nepal Police Club advanced to the last four as Group B runners-up with a 25-11, 25-8, 25-18 victory over Mid-western Region. Defending champions Indian Railway Volleyball Team, who defeated both NPC and Mid-west, topped the Group A. APF will face NPC, while TAC play against Indian Railway in Tuesday’s semi-final matches.
