PM hopeful OBOR initiative will succeed

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Puspa Kamal Dahal has expressed confidence that China’s One Belt One Road initiative would move ahead smoothly, according to a press release issued by PM’s Secretariat. During his meeting with Chinese Ambassador Yu Hong, the prime minister also said that the government was committed to holding local level election as scheduled and expected Chinese support for the same. Ambassador Yu urged Nepal to be an active part of China’s flagship development initiative — the OBOR, under which various connectivity and development projects have been mooted. She said Nepal’s politics was moving in a positive direction and assured of Beijing’s support for all its development endeavours.
