KATHMANDU: Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun has been discharged from the Norvic International Hospital after his health improved, on Tuesday. The level of water and sodium increased in his body after the treatment, informed Pun's aide Manoj Gharti Magar on his Facebook post. However, attending doctors—Dr Madhu Ghimire and Dr Shivaji Bikram Silwal—have suggested him to take rest for at least a week. Pun, who is in his early 50s, was taken to the Thapathali-based facility on Sunday night after suffering from fever, vertigo and vomiting, symptoms of electrolyte disorder, for some days. READ ALSO:

Earlier in 2012, Pun suffered from kidney failure and was treated in Nepal as he refused to go abroad for treatment. Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Deputy Prime Minister Krishna Bahadur Mahara had to see Pun while he was at the hospital on Monday.
