LAHAN: A motorcyclist died after a bus hit a motorcycle he was riding on in Golbazaar Municipality-4 of Siraha district along the East-West Highway on Wednesday. The deceased has been identified as Surendra Mahato (37) of Devipur-9 in Siraha district. Mahato was critically injured when the bus (Na 4 Kha 1460) travelling in the opposite direction hit the motorcycle (Sa 5 Pa 7234). Mahato breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the Lahan-based Ram Prasad Uma Memorial Hospital. Meanwhile, Pradip Raya (39) of Majhuwatole in Mirchaiya municipality-8, succumbed to burn injuries he had sustained in his house caught fire all of a sudden, the Mirchaiya Area Police Office said. Police are investigating into both the incidents.
