Lamjung, March 2 Home stay programme for tourists has started operating for the first time in Bhusse Village of Bhulbhule VDC in Lamjung. Of the 55 Tamang households in the village, five have started the home stay service to revive Tamang art and culture. Ram Kumar Shrestha, chairman of Chambers of Commerce and Industry Lamjung Chapter, said that the Tamang Community in the district would also be providing the service in the near future. “With the spread of Tamang art and culture, the VDC will slowly develop into a tourist destination,” said Nal Maya Tamang, chairman of Milijuli Mother Group . The Mother Group has been working with youth clubs to to develop the village as a tourist destination. The group took the initiative to welcome guests at the home stay service. The VDC, which is 1,500 metres high, will provide a scenic view for the guests. The Marsyandi River and Khudikhola can also be observed from the village. Guests can reach the village for home stay after a drive of an hour from the district headquarters Besisahar.
