UML's Mechi-Mahakali campaign reaches Kapilvastu, Dang

KATHMANDU: The main opposition party CPN-UML on Monday reached Kapilvastu and Dang districts during the Mechi-Mahakali National Campaign. The party organised its first mass meeting of the day in Jitpur of Kapilvastu whereas the second function was held in Lamahi of Dang. Party General Secretary Ishwor Pokharel, Secretary Gokarna Bista and Central Committee member Lalbabu Yadav addressed the Jitpur programme. Likewise, senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal, Vice-Chairman Yuvaraj Gyawali and Standing Committee member Shankar Pokharel addressed the meeting in Lamahi. During the meetings, the leaders stressed that the government should hold local level elections on the scheduled day and expressed their hope about the party's victory in the polls. According to the party's Central Publicity Departments, the party would hold a rally and a mass meeting in Nepalgunj of Banke on Tuesday.
