609 examinees absent in Saptari SEE

Rajbiraj, March 19 As many as 609 examinees stayed away from the Secondary Education Examinations on the third day of the examinations in Saptari on Sunday. According to District Education Office, Saptari, as many as 155 boys and 179 girl students from regular category did not appear for the mathematics paper today. Similarly, the DEO informed that as many as 45 boys and 38 girl students from the exempted group were absent while 95 boys and 97 girls, who were to sit for the math paper to improve their grades were also absent in the district. DEO sources said that as many as 8,639 students from regular, 334 from exempted and 2,784 students are taking their exams to improve their grades in the district. Meanwhile, DEO has taken action against office attendant Ramesh Yadav for his involvement in violating the examination code of conduct at Banarbhulla Examination Centre of the district. District Education Officer Dolraj Pandey said that Yadav was sacked after he helped students by supplying cheating materials. Coordinator of Examination Coordination Committees as well as Chief District Officer Krishna Bahadur Katwal said that the SEE was being conducted in a good manner. “Action will be taken against those who help in cheating and engage in violating the basic code of conduct of the examination system,” he added.
