TT team off to India

KATHMANDU: A 12-member Nepali team on Sunday left for India to take part in the RS and CC Diamond Jubilee Invitational International Table Tennis Tournament slated for March 23-25 in Siliguri. A total of 10 players, five each in boys and girls sections, will participate in singles, doubles, mixed doubles and team events in the U-21 category. ShyantuShrestha, Mani Kumar Lama, Ritiz Joshi, BipulMaharjan and Narayan Ghimire will take part in the boys’ events, while SonuThapaMagar, SikkaSuwal, Gita Aryal, SujataDuwal and ManjuSuwal will compete in the girls’ section. Coach Sanjay Aryal and team manager Shiva Deuja accompanied the players to Siliguri. Vice-president of National Sports Council Lama ,Tendi Sherpa and All Nepal Table Tennis Association President ChaturanandaRajvaidhya bade farewell to the team.
