KATHMANDU: Mega Bank Nepal recently signed an agreement with National Banking Institute (NBI) to train its staff on JANBI - Professional Banking Certification course. Under this arrangement more than 100 Mega staff from all over Nepal will undergo JANBI course, as per a media release. JANBI is a professional banking certification course that captures in-depth knowledge on principles and practices of banking, accounting and finance for bankers, and legal and regulatory requirement for the banking. Successful candidates are awarded JANBI certification by the institute. JANBI certification is a minimum requirement to work in Nepali banking industry and more than 1000 banking professionals nationwide have already registered for the course. JANBI is developed by Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF) in close cooperation with local banking experts in Nepal. IIBF is more than 90-year-old banking academy and has developed similar courseware for many countries around the world.
