KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress on Wednesday consulted former ambassadors, former bureaucrats and former security officials loyal to the party on preparations for the upcoming local level elections. The Central Election Mobilisation Committee headed by party's senior leader Ram Chandra Paudel held the consultation at the party's central office in Sanepa of Lalitpur, according to a statement issued by the party's Central Office Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Paudel. During the meeting, the invitees had provided suggestions on how the party could secure its victory in the May 14 polls, according to a statement issued after the meeting. Accordingly, the Committee directed local level committees to mobilise cadres accordingly.
