Patient commits suicide at National Trauma Centre

KATHMANDU: Police on Thursday said that a patient committed suicide by hanging to a window at the National Trauma Centre of Bir Hospital in Kathmandu.
DSP Santosh Acharya said Jayakala Gharti of Misi in Baglung district hanged herself to death with a shawl on the fifth floor of the hospital building this morning. The incident occurred while her attendant was asleep, informed police
Acharya further said Gharti had been receiving treatment since March 19 after being transferred from the Pokhara-based Manipal Hospital.
Meanwhile, police said investigation is underway.
