KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Thursday attended a reception hosted by former King Gyanendra Shah on the occasion of latter's grandson Hridayendra's bratabandha, a Hindu ritual for young boys. The former monarch had extended the invitation to President Bhandari in an apparent reciprocation of the latter's invitation to him to attend her daughter's wedding on January 16. Other political leaders including those from ruling and opposition parties, businesspersons and professionals from various sectors had been invited to the event held at Hotel Soaltee.
