BIRGUNJ: A fire that broke out at the Shivam Steel Industry Pvt Ltd in Adarshanagar of Birgunj destroyed property worth millions of rupees on Tuesday. The fire started at 5 pm yesterday, according to DSP Rupak Mainali at the Parsa District Police Office. A preliminary estimated showed property, including raw materials and products, worth Rs 70 to 80 million was destroyed in the incident. Lawmaker Raj Kumar Gupta owns the industry, according to police. The inferno was brought under control after two hours with the help of police, locals and workers of the factory.
