Federal Alliance leaders meet PM and DPM Thapa in Baluwatar

KATHMANDU:  The leaders of Federal Alliance on Thursday held a meeting with  Prime Minster Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Deputy Prime Minister Kamal Thapa at the prime minister's official residence in Baluwatar. Rajendra Mahato, a senior leader of Rastriya Janata Party, told THT online that the government admitted that the circular sent to 11 districts in Terai seeking suggestions on increasing the number of local bodies has been withdrawn. Mahato further added that the government promised to stick to the negotiation made with the agitating forces about increasing the number of local bodies in those districts. The number will be increased, he quoted the PM and DPM as saying, after holding discussions with other political parties. He also informed that DPM Kamal Thapa, Minister for Federal Affairs and Local Development, has invited the political parties including the CPN-UML to discuss the issue at the Ministry at 1pm on Thursday itself.
