CPN-UML puts off manifesto release

KATHMANDU: The main opposition CPN-UML has put off the programme to release the party's manifesto for the local level elections. In a statement, the party's central publicity department said the manifesto, which was scheduled to be released at 3 pm today, will be made public at the party's central office in Dhumbarahi at 9 am tomorrow. UPDATE AT 4:00 pm: The party said the manifesto will be released at 1 pm instead of 9 am. The party said the programme was rescheduled as the manifesto's editing work was yet to be finished. Also, the party's Standing Committee will meet at 2 pm tomorrow.
