Five held in possession of controlled pharmaceutical drugs

KATHMANDU: The Narcotics Control Bureau of Nepal Police arrested five persons in possession of a huge cache of controlled pharmaceutical drugs from Ratnapark of Kathmandu recently. Police identified the arrestees as 33-year-old Nima Pasang Sherpa of Bahrabise Municipality in Sindhupalchok district, 25-year-old Bikram Mizar of Gokarneshwor Municipality-2, 24-year-old Mingmar Tamang of Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality in Sindhupalchok district, 28-year-old Dawa Dundup Tamang of Bahrabise Municipality and 24-year-old Ashish Kumar Syangtang of Kamalamai Municipality-6 in Sindhuli district. All of them were arrested from Ratnapark area in KMC-28 on May 12, according to police. Police also seized 150 ampoules of norphin, diazepam and phenergan each from them. Meanwhile, police said they are looking into the case.
