UML, Maoist Centre candidates elected unanimously

LAMJUNG, BESISAHAR: CPN-UML and CPN Maoist Centre candidates have been elected unopposed in the Marsyangdi Rural Municipality in northern Lamjung district. Six candidates were elected in the joint panel, which include two from Dalit or marginalised communities and six women. In women's category, CPN MC's Anita BK and UML candidates Chautari Tamang, Dil Kumari Thapa and Parkashi Gurung were elected. From the Dalit communities, Maoist Centre's Krishna Bahadur BK and UML's Nanda Ram BK were elected. Nepali Congress and other parties did not register their candidates leading to the two parties' unopposed victory.
