CHITWAN: A cyber crime case has been lodged against two persons in Chitwan District Police Office on the charge of hurling abuses at Renu Dahal, the CPN Maoist Centre mayoral candidate in Bharatpur Metropolitan City. Earlier, matters containing abuses against Dahal were found to have been posted on Facebook accounts of Nirab Gyawali and SB Bohara. The case was lodged by Renu's spouse, Anil Kumar Pathak. 'The case was filed to discourage bad trend of attacking image of an individual,' said Dahal. The Kathmandu District Court shall look into the case as the court will deal with a cyber crime case, said Superintendent of Police (SP) Dipak Thapa. A search has been launched for the fleeing accused, he added. The guilty of such crime will be sentenced to five years in prison and fined Rs 200,000 or both as per Clause 47 of Electronic Transaction Act 2008.
